Stayed with a lovely old couple in Seoul
Looking for a place to stay for a week we decided to give the site Wimdu another look for short term accommodations. We found that most hostels didn't have our dates available unless we stuck with 6-10 person dorms. Hotels on the other hand, were also quite pricy. After browsing through the list, we found Mrs. Kim's place to be in a suitable location (a 10min walk to line 4 which intersects most of the other major subway lines). It was under $60/night. They're home was spacious with a great view of the city and they took great care of the place – it was spotless! Although we were living in their home, we definitely had privacy as the bedroom was on the opposite end of the apartment from theirs. She was extremely nice and treated you like one of her own children.
Every morning she would make us a great traditional Korean breakfast
Mrs. Kim making kimchi. There's a second fridge just to store kimchi!
If you're planning to visit Seoul for a week or longer, consider staying at Mrs. Kim's! She'll take good care of you as she does with all her guests. You can find her on the site wimdu.com
