Iraklion Hotel

This was the hotel we stayed at in Heraklion. It was a 5min walk to the main square so good location. This was a great place for a two star hotel. It was €54 per night so just under $75cdn. They put us in a 3-person bedroom even though we paid for a double. Everything looked very clean and new. The bed was really comfortable. Not what you’d normally expect from a two star. Even the bathroom was pretty big. We were so accustomed to small crammy bathrooms in previous hotels that this felt like luxury for us lol

We had a large balcony that overlooked a wide area of the town. You can get a partial view of the ocean as well. The only thing you need to be careful of: remember to close your balcony door before you leave your room because the balconies aren’t that private. The dividers in between units are waist high so you can technically climb over to the other units balconies without any trouble.

Breakfast was included (8am-10am) but it was your typical fare like cereal, bread, ham and cheese.

So overall, we enjoyed our stay here. You get great value for the price so I’d have no problem recommending this to others as a budget hotel.
